Do I need to move furniture?
We adopt a common sense approach, we will move any objects that are light such as footstools, side tables etc. Heavy items such as beds, TV’s etc. or any valuable items will not be moved. We can often go underneath or around items.
How long does it take for my carpet/upholstery to dry?
This varies on the type of fibre, for example, wool carpets take longer than man-made fibres. Allowing windows to be open will dry them much faster. You can walk on the carpets straight away but they remain damp to the touch for several hours.
Is stain removal guaranteed?
As much as we wish we could, unfortunately there can be no guarantee that every stain will be removed. This is simply because there are so many variables in play, such as the type of carpet fibre, how long the stain has been there, whether the stain has dyed the fibre etc. Please note that very high wool content carpets are more difficult to clean and prone to difficult stain removal.
What are your prices?
We offer excellent value for money. The cost varies on the number of rooms you want cleaned, or/and whether or not there is any significant staining such as pet urine etc. The more areas you have cleaned in one visit the more cost effective it will be. If you can organise (within close proximity) 2 average sized 3 bedroom houses or 3 average sized 2 bedroom flats then it will be cheaper to ask for the day rate and you will get all the carpets in the house cleaned.
What is the average carpet cleaning cost?
Your quotation will mostly depend on the size, age, location (living room, hallway, stairs, and bedroom) fabric (wool, suede, linen) and type (kitchen, rug, car carpet etc.) of the carpet that you wish to clean.
The type of treatment you have booked such as hot water extraction, dry cleaning and any extra services that may come with them will also be a deciding price factor. As a rough guide hot water extraction cleaning will cost from £40 (10×10 feet room) to £65 for large rooms. Dry carpet cleaning is the same price. Carpet protection sprays and insecticide controls depends of the size of the carpet.
Do you clean sofas?
Yes, if its fabric then we can clean it.
How do I get rid of fleas in a carpet?
There are some steps you can take to get rid of fleas once they appear and before they cause any problems. The first step is to treat your pets with a powerful flea treatment. This stops the problem at its source but it will not remove the problem completely. You still have to contend with the fleas that are still in your home. Most of these are going to settle into the carpet, just waiting to latch onto any passing pets or people.
The best way to eliminate fleas is to have your carpet thoroughly cleaned by a professional. We offer the best in flea removal from carpets. We ensure a thorough clean via hot water extraction also known as steam cleaning. After this, we apply a layer of chemicals to ensure total elimination (environmentally friendly water based insecticide).
